Tenerife Beaches

Playa de Bajamar, a natural water park

Bajamar is a small municipality located on the northeast slope of Tenerife, at the foot of the Anaga mountain range, whose coastline, constantly changed by the power of the ocean, has original natural sea water pools.

The complex is made up of two large pools for adults and a small one for children, all filled with sea water and equipped with showers and changing rooms. Access to the pools is free, you only have to pay a small fee for the services you use. The atmosphere is family-friendly and the pools are always very busy. Due to its central location, in the urban center, there are several restaurants and cafes nearby.

The surroundings are perfectly suitable for a walk along the coast. Next to the pools, there is the Bajamar lighthouse and a small sandy beach protected by a breakwater.

It is a calm water beach that constantly defies the strong waves that characterize the sea in this area of Tenerife. It is a pleasure to swim peacefully in its waters while the huge waves break forcefully against the solid dam that protects it. Playa de Bajamar and its natural pools are one of the most popular bathing areas in the municipality of La Laguna. You can count on all services at your disposal, as well as restaurants and taverns.
