Playa Paraíso: Ideal Climate and Crystal Clear Waters

Playa Paraíso is a tourist development located on the coast of the municipality of Adeje, in the south of the island of Tenerife.

The town has focused on the service sector, mainly hotels, one of the most famous being the Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife, the second Hard Rock in Europe, which attracts many tourists who visit or dine at the splendid restaurant within the structure. In recent years, due to demand from many investors, it has been expanding, building infrastructure such as shopping centres and modern houses.

Very close to Playa Paraíso, Puertito de Armeñime is worth a visit; it is a small bay with a black sand beach and a local restaurant.

If you enjoy walking, there is a small route (of low difficulty) that starts in the village of La Caleta and covers a good part of the coastal strip, passing by cliffs, small yellow sand coves, a site of scientific interest, ancient banana plantations, two small fishing villages, a cove (rich in marine fauna, suitable for scuba diving and snorkelling) and ends in Playa Paraíso.

The aspect of the wind should not be underestimated either: being quite protected and with the help of Teide creating a sort of barrier, it is difficult to find a windy climate, allowing for sunbathing in peace on the beach. There is a saltwater pool, with an adjoining garden, called "El Lago", open to the public, and located behind the cove of Barranco Central, just a few metres from the ocean.

In the Playa Paraíso area, we find Playa El Pinque, which is accessed by descending some stairs. It is not very large, as it is only 20 metres wide and about 50 metres long. It is located at the mouth of a ravine, with volcanic-origin black sand and gravel. The beach does not have extensive services but offers basic ones such as cleaning of the surrounding environment. There is no commercial infrastructure around, so tranquillity is the main element.

Very close to Playa El Pinque, we find the El Márquez Bathing Area. It is a rocky area next to the coast that has been adapted for easier access with stairs to enter and exit the sea. It is very pleasant to swim in the open sea or in any of the pools that form when the tide goes out.

Playa de Las Galgas is a small beach accessible via the existing pedestrian promenade. It is surrounded by numerous hotel facilities in the vicinity, making it a semi-urban beach.

For those looking for a holiday, Playa Paraíso is suitable for the whole family, and for those who choose to live there, there will be convenient transport options and bars, restaurants, and shops close at hand.
